We equip and mobilize the North American church to reach the nations at her door.

Over 3.6 million refugees have been welcomed to the U.S. since 1975.
60,000+ refugees were resettled in the U.S. in 2023 alone.
Around 180 unreached people groups live in North America...

That’s more than 12 million individuals with little or no access to the Gospel — at our doorstep.

What is the

Diaspora?

The word diaspora means “to scatter” and is rooted in the biblical story of God’s people being dispersed throughout the nations (John 7:35, James 1:1). In Scripture, God often uses scattering—whether by exile, migration, or persecution—as part of His redemptive plan to make Himself known among the nations. Today, the term refers to people living outside their country of origin, including refugees, migrants, international students, and displaced communities.

At Nextwave, we see the global diaspora as one of the greatest mission fields of our time. God is bringing the nations within reach of the Church—often placing unreached people groups in cities and neighborhoods around the world. We train and send gospel workers to engage these communities, believing that reaching the diaspora is not a side mission, but central to God’s global plan.
